Daniel Nuderscher works with a multitude of possibilities for artistic expression, such as photography, sculpting, light installations, visuals, animation, performance and experimental techniques.
Central topics of his artistic work are security and intimacy in human relationships, the interaction between humans, but also between humans, objects, and materials. The shaping of public space, as well as the emotionality and self-worth of humans, are also central to his work.
The animated short film SKRFF—a collaboration with Corrie Francis Parks, Sandro Nicolussi, and Thom Parks, which gained international recognition—elaborates on the question of whether the past, or history, can be remembered in all its detail, and if or how humans can learn from their past, individually or as a society. He has presented his work in various exhibitions in Vienna, Lower Austria, Hanoi, and South Tyrol, the short film SKRFF has been shown in competition on festivals like Annecy, Animafest Zagreb and Ottawa amongst others. SKRFF was nominated for the Austrian film price 2025.
